Why Wallace Woodworks

I have been in love with wood and woodworking ever since I made a china hutch for my mom in high school. Since then, I have done wood working projects all my life. From the beginning, seeing a piece of rough lumber turn into something of beauty and knowing “I did that” had me hooked.

I believe it is a gift to find things in your life that you are truly passionate about. I don’t think everyone finds that. I feel blessed to have found I have that for wood and what can be made from it. I love working with the combinations of colors and grains of the wood, creating each piece by hand and paying attention to the most minor details of each project.

Since retiring, I now have the opportunity to share with you and others the beauty I find in wood. I live on the water in Olympia Washington with my wife Deb, two dogs Daisy and Murphy and 11 chickens, surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of Puget Sound and the trees. With that inspiration, I make one piece at a time out of my garage shop giving it my full attention every detail. Most pieces are custom made, working with my customers to create a board that matches their desired colors, function and design while creating a unique piece specifically for them.

If you are viewing this site, you are not looking for a plain or ordinary board. You are looking for something far more than ordinary. I can make that for you.
